Penny cress
Produces light & airy growth, with long heads of delicate tiny white flowers that set large (approx 5mm across) flat seed heads.
Sow: Spring, summer, or autumn.
How: Sow either seed trays & prick out, or sow where to they are to flower outside, 5mm deep covered with a fine layer of mix or soil. Germination takes around 7 days.
Plant Where: Full sun
Spacing: Transplant to 15cm – 20cm spacings.
Height: 0.5m x 0.2m wide
Growing Tips: Will self-sow if left in. Protect seedlings & young plants from slugs & snails.
Penny cress is mainly grown for its large seed head but can be picked in flower or after seed set.
