This is a lovely biannual, (germinate and grows in its first year and flowers in its second) It produces a basal mat of small furry grey leaves and tall heads of small cerise flowers through the summer.
Sow: Spring & autumn.
How: Sow in either seed trays & prick out, or easy to sow where they are to flower outside, surface sow as seed is so tiny. Germination takes around 14 days.
Plant Where: Full sun or light shade.
Spacing: Transplant to 20cm spacings.
Height: 50cm x 20cm
Growing Tips: Self seeds easily once established. Lovely for arranging. Dislikes wet conditions.
