This annual is best sown in autumn to flower the following spring. It produces pure white flowers in racemes. Flowers are great in the garden or picked & then the seed heads are fabulous dried also. Just remove the outer sides from the seed heads to show off the dried seed case.
Sow: Spring & autumn
How: Sow either seed trays & prick out, or sow where to flower outside, 5mm deep covered with a fine layer of mix or soil. Best results are from broadcasting, sowing where they are to flower. Germination takes around 14 days.
Plant Where: Full sun to part shade.
Spacing: Transplant to 20cm – 30cm spacings.
Height: 1m x 0.3m wide
Growing Tips: Will self-sow if left in. Protect from rabbits!
