This annual species of Lathyrus has small bright yellow flowers. Flowers are normally produced in 1's or 2's.
It its native habitat is open rocky areas through Syria, Lebanon & Israel.
Seed pods are small & carry around 1 - 3 seeds per pod.
An interesting little species to grow in a pot or the garden.
Sow: June to Sept for summer flowers.
How: Chip seed prior to sowing as this will aid in germination. Sow either in pots or punnets outside, 1cm deep covered with a layer of seed mix or soil. Germination should take around 14 days but can be longer with species.
Plant Where: Full sun
Spacing: Transplant to 15cm spacings.
Height: 50cm – 1m
Growing Tips: No need to pinch. Protect from slugs, snail, mice & rabbits!
Seed is best stored in the fridge or freezer
