Persian cress
Produces light & airy growth, with long stems of delicate tiny white flowers that set small flat, green seed heads, which mature to brown.
Sow: Spring, summer, or autumn.
How: Sow either seed trays & prick out, or sow where to they are to flower outside, 3mm deep covered with a fine layer of mix or soil. Germination takes around 7 days.
Plant Where: Full sun
Spacing: Transplant to 20cm – 30cm spacings.
Height: Up to 1m x 0.3m wide
Growing Tips: Will self-sow if left in. Protect seedlings & young plants from slugs & snails.
Persian cress is mainly grown for its seed heads but can be picked in flower or after seed set.
